Adult Ministry
The Church Ladies
This is a group of women who meet monthly for a book study and fellowship. It is open to all women in the congregation. We meet on the first Sunday of every month at 4pm at the Chesapeake Seafood House.

In June the group began a book study using the book: The Pilgrimage into the Last Third of Life published by Upper Room Books. The book is divided into seven sections, and we will begin discussion of the first section at our June 7 gathering.  If you would like a book, please contact Bev Matthews.

Sunday Morning Classes
Rochester United Methodist Church offers a variety of different Sunday School classes for adults who wish to strengthen their relationship with Christ and fellow Christians.

Contemporary Christians
The Contemporary Christians class is composed of mainly retired or soon to be retired "empty nesters" who meet each week to discuss contemporary topics related to religion, RUMC, and societal issues in general.  In addition to the weekly class, the Contemporary Christians sponsor community events such as fish frys and pancake dinners.  Class members also participate in occasional social gatherings such as Christmas parties, picnics, etc.

New Life Class
The New Life Class is composed of Senior Adults. They focus on the Adult Bible Study series, and Good Leadership. This group meets every Sunday in the conference room and welcome any new members that wish to join them.

Seekers
The Seekers Sunday School class studies different books of the Bible or a current, Christian book of interest. We also discuss current events and how it affects our lives as Christians. We welcome anyone who would like to join our warm, Christian fellowship on Sunday morning!
