RUMC has a large fruit and vegetable garden, maintained by members of the church. Produce from the garden is brought to the Senior Adult Potluck on Fridays, as well as other groups that meet at the church, the Wednesday evening W.O.W. meals, and Sunday morning services. Donations of fresh vegetables are also taken to the Central Illinois Food Bank.
